On the west side of this bridge is the temple of Lord Laxman. While it has another temple of Lord Rama, it is said that Shri Rama himself came to this place himself. After crossing the bridge, the walking path leads to Badrinath and to the right and to the Swarg Ashram.

2. Ram Jhula Rishikesh

Ram Jhula is a bridge built on a major landmark of Rishikesh. It is at a distance of 3 km from the location of the place. There is a bridge built over the river Ganges. This bridge is also a bigger bridge than the Laxman Jhula, which connects Swarg Ashram and Vishwa Anand Ashram. 

This bridge was constructed in 1983. Explain that there is an ancient temple of Laxman ji on the side of this bridge. This bridge is built between Swarg Ashram and Shivanand Ashram, hence it is also called Shivanand Jhula. The Ram Jhula is located near the Lakshman Jhula. Direct taxis or buses are available from Rishikesh to the airport. To go to Rishikesh, one gets a direct bus to Haridwar Dehradun.
