How Much Score Is Important in the NEET for an MBBS in Abroad?

The NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) score is important for gaining admission in India, but only a NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) qualification is required to study MBBS in abroad. Eligibility for Study MBBS in Abroad –

  1. The student must have completed 10 + 2 or 12th from the regular board.
  2. Students who have studied on an open board or correspondence courses are not entitled to study MBBS in abroad.
  3. The 12th standard students must have subjects in PCB (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology).
  4. For the general category, students have compulsory 10 + 2 intermediate with 50% of marks in PCB (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology).
  5. For category SC (Scheduled Castes) / ST (Scheduled Tribes) / OBC (Other Backward Classes), students must have at least 40% on the PCB (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology).
  6. The English language should be a compulsory subject.
  7. The student must be at least 17 years old on 31 December of the year in which the student applies for admission.

Age Restriction for Doing MBBS in Abroad

The Honorable Supreme Court of India under a Writ Petition (Civil) – 99/2017, Date – March 31st, 2017 announced that candidates over the age of 25 may pre-register for the NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) 2020 exam. The upper age limit of 25 years prescribed in the Postgraduate Medical Education Ordinance of 1997 (amendment of 22 January 2018) has been challenged and the Verdict of the Supreme Court called for a provisional date for the regulation – November 29th 2018, candidates aged 25 and over were temporarily allowed to appear in NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) – UG (Undergraduate) on the basis of the final outcome of the above matters.

Does Everyone have to Obtain a NEET Qualification to Study MBBS in Abroad?

No, it is not compulsory. According to the new rules announced by MCI (Medical Council of India), the NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) qualification is a prerequisite for studying MBBS in abroad and the ability to pass a screening test, which is a necessity for medical practice in India. However, for all candidates willing to practice outside India, NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) competence is not required.
