Tips to create a CV and ace a job interview

It’s never too easy to grab the attention of recruiters and hiring managers when applying for a job. Why ? That’s because you have a few lines to pull the recruiters in your CV. Here are some tips you can follow to attract employers.

Tip #1 – Edit your CV with the desired job description

If you want to get a job and make an immediate good impression, tailor your CV to the specific job offer. As a matter of fact, the requirements of each job are not the same. You should show that you understand the type of work you’re applying for. So editing your resume for different jobs can make a huge difference. It is essential as the aim is to get noticed by employers.

It is recommended to adapt the resume to the company by using the graphic charter of its website, for example. It will boost your chances of getting callbacks and interviews. It must be more than a boring list that just outlines what you did before.

Tip #2 – Make sure your CV look professional and is formatted well

To get attention on a CV, you have to stand out in a crowd. You should make sure it is super readable and simple. Using professional fonts will probably attract a hiring manager to keep on reading your CV. Calibri, Times New Roman and Arial are good fonts for resumes.

Tip #4 – Don’t forget to include your interests on your CV

Make sure to demonstrate them during the interview. This is really important to help the recruiters see that you are flexible enough to do the job you are applying for. In other words, the employers can see you are able to do other things not related to what you are looking for. Tip #5 – Consider adding certificates and references to your CV

Adding appropriate references to a resume as proof is really important. It will help the recruiter to know more about what you did before. Include copies of your employment certificate, certifications and other documentation related to the job you’re applying for.
